ABOUT ME 

A PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM REVEREND MICHAEL JOHNSTON 

It was October of 1998 in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains that I performed my first wedding.  Since then I have presided over  more than 250 weddings, each of them special in their own way.  I have performed wedding ceremonies in such beautiful settings as the State Capitol Rose Garden, the edge of Eagles Falls at Lake Tahoe, a fog-shrouded pier on San Francisco Bay, in the Barrel Room of an exclusive Napa Valley Winery and on board luxury yachts sailing on San Diego Bay.

I called San Diego home in the eighties, but business called me away to Northern California in the nineties.  My heart, however stayed in San Diego and over the next seventeen years, I often returned for visits with friends for rest and relaxaction.  On one of those occasions, I met the love of my life, a native San Diegan. 

Karen told me early in our courtship that she would never leave San Diego, therefore, I had no other choice but to return to San Diego and marry my bride.    This move resulted in taking my Wedding Officiant business to the next level with the creation of California Wedding Services.   My goal was then, and continues to be, to provide the highest level of quality in wedding services available anywhere.   

I work both privately and with top wedding professionals who have referred me to many happy couples, guests and other wedding experts.  My business has flourished with referrals from my brides and grooms as well as wedding professionals who are impressed with my creativity, professionalism and presentation skills accented by my personal touch and first-class service.

My extensive experience in professional speaking, event planning and wedding traditions of all kinds gives me a polished edge as both a religious and civil practitioner.  This, along with my creative writing skills and "radio quality" voice ensures an unforgettable ceremony for you.
